For your convenience, we've listed important Punta Mita travel trips to make your visit as efficient and safe as possible. Please review the below items:
- Travelers must carry a valid and current photo ID.
- As of January 23, 2007, all persons traveling by air between the US and Mexico are required to present a passport when crossing international borders.
- Cell phones may not work in Punta Mita. Please check with your cell phone provider for more details or to engage your international calling feature.
- Drinking bottled water is recommended.
- We recommend bringing a small first aid kit.
- We recommend purchasing sun screen prior to traveling.
- Travelers can exchange their currency for Mexican Pesos at the Puerto Vallarta Airport.
- There are bank machines in Punta Mita where Pesos are given. However, no full service banking is available.
- Most establishments accept major credit cards but you should have some cash available in the event that credit cards are not accepted.
